Change in toll exemption in Germany

As of 1 October 2021, the toll exemption will no longer apply for trucks that have been transformed or equipped with a natural gas tank. These vehicles may remain registered with Toll Collect in the list of toll-exempt vehicles until 30 September 2021, if they are powered completely or predominantly by natural gas.
After September 30, the exemption will remain valid only for factory-equipped vehicles running on CNG (compressed natural gas), LNG (liquefied natural gas) or with a bi-fuel LNG/diesel engine. These vehicles must meet the Euro VI pollution category and be already configured by their manufacturer as new vehicles before first registration.
